Affton Community Days Parade and Fair

The annual Affton Community Days Parade and Festival are an excellent opportunity for Rooftop to share about our move with the community. This will be an "all hands on deck" opportunity for Rooftoppers, so you will also hear and read more about it on Sunday mornings and in our weekly emails. Here's what we have going on:

Parade Float Construction (Days/Evenings during week of September 20-23)

We need a team of people to help construct and paint our parade float the week before. The float will look like a shingled roof with a band rocking on top. Jaime and Natalie Gensits are leading the build. Let us know if you can help with this, and which days/evenings you are available that week.

Parade Walkers - (Saturday September 24, 9 - 11:30 am)
We need about 20 people willing to walk behind the float and pass out candy, fliers, and other freebies. Feel free to ride a bike, pull a wagon of kids or roller blade. We need to be in place at about 9:30 am and the parade lasts until about 11 am. Every volunteer gets a free t-shirt. Contact Heather Gain at 314-575-3408 or with questions.

Booth Workers (Saturday September 24, noon - 9 pm for a two-hour shift)

We need volunteers to man the booth at the community fair from noon until about 9 pm. We are looking for about 10 people to cover two-hour shifts throughout the day. It involves interacting with the community, operating the prize wheel and giving away freebies. Every volunteer gets a free t-shirt. Indicate your availability and/or time preference and we'll do our best to accommodate.
